Cleaning My Glock 30SF Question
OK this is for the Glock owners. When I clean my 30SF I reassemble the guide rod spring and put it in the half moon in the barrel. This is correct, right? The reason I ask is EVERY time I disassemble, it (guide rod spring) is not resting in the half moon but has jumped to the other notch on the barrel. I assume it happens cause something hits it when taking the slide off. This does NOT happen with my 17 or 21 so I wanted to be sure I am doing it right. It fires just fine with no issues whatsoever. Thanks for the help!

Re: Cleaning My Glock 30SF Question
My G19 does the same thing. I thought it might be an issue but I have put a 1000 rounds through it without a single FTF or FTE issue.

Re: Cleaning My Glock 30SF Question
It's normal. Don't know why, but of the half dozen Glocks that I used to own, they all did it and they were all 100% reliable. Bx3

Re: Cleaning My Glock 30SF Question
Normal.........to reinstall spring, set it in the lowest position and push the slide on the rails back until it clicks. If it wouldn't go on smoothly, the spring is riding too high.
